Duke of Hollywell : "This is a bit of find - the only surviving recording of a performance by Ben Wright and Eric Snowden from late 1949. The plot concerns the Duke of Hollywell, who introducing himself as 'John Smith' attempts to commission Holmes to find out the identity of someone who is blackmailing him over (ahem) 'supper' with an actress. The Duke, being a somewhat dim old buffer, refuses to disclose the name of the actress. Holmes turns down the case (and �1,000 fee), exit Duke stage left and possibly the shortest ever Holmes adventure."
